In order to be accepted into The Mission House Program, a person must meet the following mandatory requirements:
The first is a true desire to seek God and His kingdom. They must be in acknowledgement of their sinful lifestyle and have a true willingness to submit to the teachings of Scripture. They will have to follow a close monitored pre-entry plan with the director to show comittment. This will involve daily email check-ins, bible reading and regular church attendance. Failure to follow through will prevent entry into the program.
They are also required to have blood work done. They must be tested for HIV, Hepatitis B and C and Tuberculosis. The results must be back to us prior to entrance into the program. They must submit to a State Patrol background check. We cannot accept convicted sex offenders. We do have places we can recommend someone to however.
If they are on any psychotropic medications (depression, bi-polar, anxiety etc.), they must let us know in advance and be willing to start a Dr. prescribed ween-off plan prior to coming into the program. They will have to be within the last two weeks of the ween-off plan to enter.
The cost of the program
The only charge for The Mission House program is a non-refundable $1000.00 entrance fee (due prior to entrance into the program). If you are a second time resident, the fee is $2,000.00. This is required to show a COMMITMENT on the part of the resident. We are a licensed, bonded and insured general contractor and the men work twenty-five to thirty hours per week to pay their way through the program. We do however accept donations.
